About The Barnard Bulletin

First published in January 1901, The Barnard Bulletin is Barnard College’s oldest student-run publication, as well as the longest operating student newspaper from a women’s college in the United States. The Barnard Bulletin is run by undergraduate students from Barnard College and Columbia University.

The Bulletin covers Barnard, Columbia, and New York City stories under its Campus News, Politics & Opinion, Arts & Culture, Health & Sports, and Features sections through an intersectional feminist lens. Former editors and writers include anthropologist Margaret Mead ’25, Pulitzer Prize-winning NPR and CNN journalist Maria Hinojosa ’84, and The Glass Castle author Jeannette Walls ’84.​​
